Nicole travelled to Melbourne for the day on Thursday and had a guided tour of ACFS empty container park and the Port of Melbourne.

ACFS is Melbourne’s first 24hr/5days a week container park, with thousands of containers moving in and out daily.
Containers are brought in from Australian imports, cleaned and repaired as required, and sent back out for Export customers.
ACFS supply containers for multiple shipping lines including OOCL, Hamburg Sud and K-Line.

The Port of Melbourne is Australia’s largest container port with over 2.6 million containers handled annually. This is over 7200 containers per day.
There are 3 terminals at the Port of Melbourne – East Swanson (red) and DP World (White) and Webb dock.
Thousands of container trucks run in and out of these terminals daily on strict timeslots. Each terminal uses advanced technology to ensure each container makes it onto the correct vessel with minimal errors.

Nicole coordinates all of our containers to and from Marrar and Widgelli so this exercise was a great learning experience.

Small enough to care, big enough to deliver
